Loch Bracadale Expedition - Isle of Skye

Price: £460pp

Caves, arches and stacks. Loch Bracadale is a sea kayaker's playground. Hop from cave to cave in this spectacular location dominated by the high cliffs on either side and the Black Cuillin to the east. This is a similar trip to the Summer Isles, however requires a little experience due to the longer crossings, exposed coast line and in some places, the difficulty of landing. Weather permitting we'll head along the western cliffs to Macleod's Maidens, 3 stunning stacks shaped by the atlantic swells rolling in from the west. We'll make camp on any of the bigger islands, all with an incredible view over Loch Bracadale.

We plan to base camp at a serviced camp site but if the weather is right we'll head out on expedition for a few nights. The remoteness and timeless feel of the "Islands on the Edge" create a superb kayaking experience. We'll fish from our kayaks, scavenge for mussels and barter for fresh fish from the fishing boats. Around every corner there is a new, awesome surprise waiting to blow your socks off.
